Hound & Mare Fine Dining Series: Chef & “Iron-Somm” Wine Dinner Special Event!

This is take three of this very popular annual event! Set in the intimate new pop-op dinner space at The Hound & Mare, this year’s wine dinner will feature the elegant cuisine of Chef Scott Riesenberger, while owner Glenn Allen of Damiani Wine Cellars and Sommelier Laura Winter Falk, of Experience! The Finger Lakes go head-to-head in an Iron Sommelier pairing competition. Glenn will bring specially-selected Damiani wines to pair with three courses of the Prix Fixe menu created by Chef Scott, while Laura will showcase three international wines. Guests will score the quality of the pairing for each course. The winner with the highest rated pairings will be announced at the end of the dinner. For this March event, we will honor St. Patrick’s day with an elegant menu created in the Irish Tradition.

Soda Bread
shaved radish, sweet butter, malt vinegar
Salmon Crudo
smoked oil, scallion, caraway, carrot vinaigrette
Potato Mousseline
corned beef, mustard, aged cheddar
Partridge
cabbage, bacon, onion, turnip
Oatmeal Creme
butterscotch, brown ale ice cream, baked apple
The side-by-side pairings of Damiani and International wines will be revealed the night of the event. A special Guinness pairing will be featured with dessert.
